Pregabalin is an anti-epileptic drug (also named anticonvulsant). It is used in the management of fibromyalgia and used to manage seizures. It is also used to treat pain because of nerve damage in the people with diabetes, and spinal cord injury.
Mechanism of action of Lyrica:
Pregabalin works by slow down the seizure causing impulses in the brain. It also affects chemicals in the brain which are responsible to send pain signals across the nervous system.

The medicine should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. It can be taken with or without food.
