Brief description of Zaditor:
Zaditor eye drops are used to prevent itching inside eyes due to allergies like conjunctivitis Zaditor drops are an antihistamine and mast cell stabilizer.
Mechanism of action:
The active component in Zaditor is ketotifen fumarate ophthalmic solution .The medicine works by blocking the release of chemicals from cells involved in allergic reactions.
Dosage and how to use Zaditor:
In adults and children of 3 years and older, a drop should be squeezes in the affected eye two times in a day after every 8 to 12 hours.
Common side effects associated with the use of Zaditor eye drops are burning, dry eyes, discharge from eyes, headache, inflammation of the cornea, itching, nasal congestion, runny nose, sensitivity towards light, sore throat and stinging.
Missed dose of Zaditor:
If the dose of Zaditor drops is missed, it should be used as soon as possible. If it is almost the time of next dose, missed dose is skipped and go back to the regular dosing schedule.
If overdosing is done, visit to the medical hospital immediately.
Safety measures of Zaditor:
Zaditor eye drops should be stored properly at room temperature away from direct heat, moisture and light. It should be kept away from children and pets.
