Isotroin is a retinoid medicine which is prescribed to treat acne and other skin disorders. It helps in the reduction of oil production on the skin and helps in preventing abnormal hardening of the skin.
Mechanism of Accutane 20mg action:
Isotretinoin is a stereoisomer of all-trans retinoic acid (tretinoin). The therapeutic activity of isotretinoin is related to the suppression of sebaceous gland activity.
Dosage and How to use Accutane 20mg Capsules:
Recommended dose is 0.5 to 1.0 mg/kg/day for adults, this dose is divided in two parts. It can be taken with food.

Side effects of Accutane 20mg:
Some side effects related to the use of isotroin are-
Allergic reactions, increased heart rate, gum inflammation, bone weakness, calcification of ligaments, peptic ulcers, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, insomnia and fainting.
Overdose: The dose of isotrotin should not be taken in excess to prevent overdosing effects.
Missed dose of Accutane 20mg:
The dose should not be missed. If it is missed it should be taken as soon as possible, unless it is the time of next dosage schedule. If the time of next dose has been reached, missed dose is skipped and the regular dosing schedule is followed as such.
